Initially reluctant to commit to a 40 day practice I am so glad I signed up.
The Zoom format worked beautifully for me not only because it allowed me to sign in from a different location during the 6 weekly classes but also accommodating my hearing loss. For the first time being involved with Kundalini Yoga, I was able to hear and understand the instructions clearly. In addition, I can review the taped sessions whenever I want.
I picked the Kirtan Kriya short version for my 40 Day commitment which is an 11 minute video available on You Tube and involves singing, visualizing and hand movements. It was enjoyable, do-able and is now as much a part of my daily routine as brushing my teeth.
SuryaAdi suggested a number of different options to chose from for the daily practice and I feel I have just scratched the surface of how I can and will benefit from this course in the future. Her instructions are very clear and easy to follow. After the class there was an opportunity to ask questions and get support.
An important feature enabling me to succeed in meditating for 40 consecutive days was the daily email check in with SuryaAdi to keep me accountable.
As benefits, I have noticed a reduction in general anxiety and a feeling of calmness throughout the day. I am better able to focus and follow through with daily tasks, less procrastinating.
I can strongly recommend it to anybody wanting to become comfortable with a daily practice.
